Discover the highlights of Guyana within a week – the heart of the jungle, the Amerindians, a safari through Giant otter territory and an optional trip to Kaieteur Falls, which is the largest single drop waterfall in the world. After this week of pure excitement you can relax and unwind at one of the beautiful Caribbean beaches – either in the Coral Mist Beach Hotel in Barbados (category Superior) or in the Blue Waters Inn in Tobago (category Deluxe), both located directly on the beach.
Arrangement includes:
1st day: transfer from the international airport to Demerara River; boat trip along winding rainforest rivers to Arrow point Lodge in the very heart of the jungle.
2nd day: in the morning jungle expedition on foot and by canoe, during the different activities is offered – all guided. In the afternoon the Indian style production of bread, made from the poisonous roots of the Cassava plant, evening: log fire on the beach.
3rd day: Arrow point; morning: boat trip along the river or cycle tour along shady rain forest trails to the Arawak village of Santa Mission; afternoon: canoe tour.
4th day: boat and land transfer back to Georgetown – Residence Inn, spend night in Georgetown.
5th day: transfer to Ogle + flight to Lethem then transfer to Karanambu Lodge, the Giant otter territory, boat safari along Rupununi River, Giant otter and caiman spotting.

o Option to take a flight to the 230 meter high Kaieteur Falls*) with guided tour (if this is desired, we can register the tour. Re-confirmation and payment take place in Guyana, because the providing of the flight depends on the weather conditions and a minimum of 8 persons is required – Price in Guyana US$ 222.80- p.p.
o If the trip to Kaieteur Falls is not provided, there are the following options:
1. Visit of the botanical garden by foot – more bird species than on the whole island of Trinidad can be found here;
2. City tour, to get to know the gorgeous historical old town (optional US$ 44.60$ p.p.)
6th day: in the morning boat safari to the honey ponds with its giant Amazon water lilies; in the evening expedition by boat to a tributary, where monkeys and numberless water birds exist.
7th day: return transfer to Lethem + flight to Georgetown; transfer + spend night at the Residence Inn with breakfast.
8th day: transfer to airport, departure to Barbados or Tobago (flight not included in the package price).
8th – 15th day: transfer from the airport to the hotel in Barbados then, 7 nights in a beachfront deluxe studio apartment incl. full breakfast at the Coral Mist Beach Hotel (Superior) OR transfer from the airport to the hotel in Tobago then, 7 nights in a beachfront room (with 3rd person we use a superior beachfront with extra bed) incl. continental breakfast at the Blue Waters Inn (Deluxe).
15th day: transfer from the hotel to the airport.
